Well, as we have known for a couple of months now, our school will be moving over to Archbishop John Carroll High School, and, it turns out, the place is a 5-minute walk from Radnor Station! For more about the station click here. Point is, our new school is serviced by mass transit. But here’s the thing, if you look at the SEPTA map, you will see two Radnor stations. It’s the one that is not on the purple line. Now for me to nerd out, the train is an Electric Multiple Unit (emu), meaning that the train is electrically powered and that every car has its own motor. The line is double tracked, meaning that two trains can pass each other and that multiple trains can run on the line at the same time. They have service constantly, so you can also do half-days by train.
So if you live in Philadelphia, and you can get to 30th street, Suburban, or Jefferson station, go to school by rail! Makes life easier. one last link, for the line.
